My pick today is Life of a Klansman: A Family History in White Supremacy, by Edward Ball. In this unique memoir, the author takes a remarkably objective, thoroughly-researched look at the life of his great-great-grandfather, a Creole New Orleans native who was a member of the Ku Klux Klan.
