The Best Eminem Track from Each of His First 3 Albums
I tuned out of the talented rapper's career after his initial releases but still have fondness for that late '90s, early '00s period of his.
In Saturday’s presentation of 3 50 Cent tracks from the rapper’s debut I promised a follow-up which I’m now delivering today:
And for my next guest spot in MMM I’ll be sharing the best song off of each of Eminem’s first 3 albums… before he started going down hill… Look forward to that on perhaps… Monday? We’ll see.
As I’ve noted before, roughly 1996-2006 was my era of heaviest musical influence. Common with so many, the songs of my youth are the ones which still remain with me.
So regarding Eminem’s first-rate early output, these are the tracks which I most recommend for those seeking a taste of what makes the rapper so memorable during this period.
And BTW, I’m not including his “popular” hits from each album — “My Name Is,” “The Real Slim Shady,” and “Without Me.” These are songs which do not really embody what Eminem was really all about. They’re just easier, humorous pop songs for the radio to promote the albums which contain much, much more “hardcore,” aggressive content.
A Note from Mike: This is the part where I post links to the rest of the series, but it’s getting a bit long. So, I’ll be maintaining THIS POST so you can go through the archives.
