Thanks for the fascinating perspective on Fantasia. I certainly didn't hate the movie by any means, just saw it as a mixed bag, but it will be interesting to watch it again through this lens.

It's really one of those movies that just gets better and better with each viewing - you start to pick up on more and more that's layered into it. Thanks so much for getting me thinking about it today! Keep up the kick ass writing at your substack!

I love this! And as you know, I think you're exactly right. I'm so glad you showed this to me again last summer. I'd enjoyed Fantasia as a child, but hadn't seen it since, and you're right - this story arc practically leapt off the screen.
