My 3 Favorite, Most Badass 50 Cent Tracks from His Astonishing Debut
You're in my house this morning... Mike cannot save you today...
So my pal
is taking a day off from his usual Mike’s Music Morning feature which means it’s my chance to sub in for him again! And of course that means dropping some tracks which he never would, as I am a fan of late ‘90s, early ‘00s hardcore gangsta rap (my high school and college years) while he prefers Will Smith for his rapping needs. And one of the very best albums of the era was the debut of 50 Cent in 2003 with Get Rich or Die Tryin’. Produced by his mentors Dr. Dre and Eminem, the album is filled with fantastic tracks. It’s one of the rare rap albums in which one can listen to it all the way through multiple times.
Here are my 3 favorite songs from the album:
And for my next guest spot in MMM I’ll be sharing the best song off of each of Eminem’s first 3 albums… before he started going down hill… Look forward to that on perhaps… Monday? We’ll see.
I think Mike’s got something special planned for tomorrow and of course hardcore rap is not appropriate for our more faith-focused Sunday…
A Note from Mike: This is the part where I post links to the rest of the series, but it’s getting a bit long. So, I’ll be maintaining THIS POST so you can go through the archives.
