10 Updates on Our Book Production Progress
We've made a whole lot of headway in the last month and a half.
After nearly two years of developing this company at a speed which I found perpetually frustrating, we’re finally moving at the pace I’d hoped for! We’ve made a lot of great progress, and at this point I’m finally starting to relax a bit that we’re really on track.
Here are some of the accomplishments we’ve had recently:
Submission to our distributor of our first novel, Perdicion: The Other Blue Planet by
. We’ll have an announcement with more details about this upcoming title soon.Submission to our distributor of our first poetry book, Home Life by
. We’ll have an announcement with more details about this upcoming title soon.We have signed up three new books from
, a poetry collection, a novel, and a novella. We’ll have an announcement with more details about these upcoming titles soon.We have signed up the first in our series of Zionist Activist nonfiction collections. I will be working with Katherine Saltzberg to assemble the writings of Jack Saltzberg, her late husband and my professional mentor. This will be the first of hopefully many compilations of Zionist writer/activist work. We’ll have an announcement with more details about this upcoming title soon.
- , our vice president and art director, has really been cooking with gas on our covers and promotional imagery. Most of our covers are either done or almost all the way there. He’s incredible.
We have completed the editorial process on our first historical fiction novel, The Reconstruction of Mary Jane Edwards by
, and are now in the formatting and proofing process.Four of our titles have now passed through the editorial gauntlet of
and myself, their authors now revising based on our suggested edits. We have only one title left in our “first wave” of more than a dozen books which I have edited and that Sally will start copyediting this week.
Given all this progress on submitting books to our distributor, acquiring new titles, and getting through the lion’s share of our editorial work, I now have some time to finish editing and revising my own book in this initial release plan, Psychedelic Zionism Rising, which compiles expanded/edited versions of roughly half of the 90 installments in my three series on antisemitism, as well as some other pieces and choice excerpts from the interviews I did with notable Jewish figures over the last year and a half.
We had two important announcements this month: the concluding installment of The Axis of Genocide series, wherein I lay out GOTD’s seven primary publishing principles, and the debut of our three new imprints/Substacks. Please be sure and check out both of these if you haven’t already. I’ll be starting new ongoing series at each Substack and encouraging our writers to do likewise. For a complete archive of the three series I have written on antisemitism, please click here.
Thank you everyone for your support and encouragement. We’ve got lots of fun stuff coming soon!
